Having American Miniature horses, I had been searching for hay that was clean and proven to be very low in sugar but I also wanted it bagged. After a google search and doing some research I purchased a pallet of Meadow Hay back in July 2022 and have just purchased a further 2 pallets. This hay has been a game changer for me. I can relax knowing that the quality is consistent, and being in small bales it helps me to ration their feed as I know one bale will last my 3 horses 3 days feeding an average amount. The hay itself is of a soft fine texture which is perfect for my little ones as they seem to find it easier to chew and digest which will ultimately help guard against gastric ulcers which can occur with miniatures.
The process of ordering was easy and the communication from Forage Plus was excellent.

Fantastic quality hay which is low In sugar but still enjoyable for my laminitic pony, I was soaking and steaming my usual meadow hay and it was still too rich for her. She appears to be much better with her feet now and is in better shape than she’s been for the last few years.

  3. Kirsty Shaw

Absolutely outstanding quality, could never be without this now after struggling for years.

  4. Rebecca Fowles

Very good service from Forage Plus and arrived swiftly. Extremely important for my pony to eat good quality, low sugar/starch hay and I am very pleased to see her tuck into her hay without having to worry. The meadow hay has a lovely diverse mixture of grasses and she thoroughly enjoys it. Weight is slowly coming off and I look forward to seeing her thrive on a safe, good quality diet – thanks to Forage Plus for a good product and service.

  5. Kelly Elliott (verified owner)

    Great quality and really fresh

  6. TanyaManser (verified owner)

This hay has literally been a life saver for my laminitic Fjord. Following her first attack of laminitis, feeding soaked hay, our vet decided the mare’s condition was not improving, the pain was uncontrollable and we should call it a day. I switched to feeding this low ESC hay in a trickle net and pony has made amazing recovery! Her feet are growing much better hoof, she is losing weight, her crest has gone and fat distribution his now normal. Total peace of mind in a bag. Thank you!

  7. Nikkiandcassie30 (verified owner)

Worth every penny! My horse has gut issues and laminitis! Using this hay means I can control her sugar and starch intake! She is doing so well, the best I have ever seen her in 10 years!
No more need to muzzle her in the paddock! Definitely recommend!
