Information we collect
When you order or create an account: name, billing and delivery address, email, phone number, order history, subscription details, account login, and any rewards points, store credit or coupons on your account.
Payment information: card and PayPal payments are processed by our payment providers (WooPayments, powered by Stripe, and PayPal). We do not see or store your full card number. We receive limited details such as the card type, last four digits and expiry date so we can manage refunds and subscriptions.

About your horse: details you give us for analysis, feed plans or diet evaluations, such as name, age, breed, weight, workload, forage, feeding, turnout and health notes. This is information about your horse, but we hold it alongside your contact details, so we protect it as personal data.
Forage, soil and water samples: the sample details, location information you provide (for example, postcode or field name) and the results.
Reviews: if you leave a product or service review, your name, review text, rating and any photos.
Referrals and affiliates: if you refer a friend, the email address you give us for them. If you join our affiliate programme, your contact details, payment details for commission and referral activity.
Website use: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and how you arrived on the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies where you consent (see Cookies).

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed our interests against yours. You can object at any time (see Your rights).
Health information you share
Please only tell us about your horse's health. If you include information about your own health in a message, we will only use it to reply to you and will not keep it longer than needed.
Marketing
We send newsletters, offers and feeding guidance by email using Klaviyo. We only send these if you opt in, for example by ticking the marketing box at checkout or signing up on our website.
Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at [email protected]. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
If you consent to marketing cookies, we may show you adverts on social media and Google. We may also share a hashed (scrambled) version of your email address with Meta and Google so they can show our adverts to existing customers or to people with similar interests, or exclude you from them. This only applies if you have opted in to marketing.
Who we share your data with
We use trusted service providers who act on our instructions under written contracts:
- Website hosting and security: Nexcess (hosting), Cloudflare (security and performance), Wordfence (firewall), BlogVault (backups)
- Payments: WooPayments (Stripe) and PayPal
- Delivery: Royal Mail and UPS, who receive your name, address and, where needed, your email or phone number for delivery updates
- Address lookup: Fetchify, to check addresses at checkout
- Email and marketing: Klaviyo (marketing emails), Microsoft 365 (our business email, and order and account emails sent from the website)
- Customer service: Groove (email and live chat helpdesk)
- Reviews: WiserReview
- Accounting and reporting: Xero (accounts) and Metorik (sales reporting)
- Spam protection: Cloudflare Turnstile on our forms
- Cookie consent: Cookiebot by Usercentrics
- Analytics and advertising (only with your consent): providers such as Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok. See our Cookie Policy for details
- Laboratory partners: forage, soil and water samples are tested by independent accredited laboratories. They receive the sample, your name and a reference number, and nothing more than they need to carry out the testing.
- Resellers: if you order from one of our approved resellers outside the UK, they handle your order under their own privacy policy.
We may also share data with professional advisers such as accountants and solicitors, with HMRC where the law requires it, or with the police if we must by law or to prevent fraud.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the shop, such as your basket and login. We only use analytics and advertising cookies if you agree to them in our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. Our Cookie Policy explains how, and gives full details of the cookies we use.
International transfers
Some of our providers, including Klaviyo, Stripe, PayPal, Microsoft, Google, Meta, TikTok, Groove and Cloudflare, are based in or process data in the United States or elsewhere outside the UK. When this happens, we make sure the transfer is protected by the UK-US Data Bridge (where the provider is certified) or by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your data
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Orders, invoices and payment records | 10 years. HMRC requires 6 years; we keep them longer for product traceability and so we can deal with any product claims |
| Customer account | Until you ask us to close it, or 3 years after your last order |
| Analysis results, feed plans and horse records | Kept indefinitely, so we can compare your results over time and use the data in our research. You can ask us at any time to remove your name and contact details, and we will keep only the anonymised results |
| Enquiries and live chat | 10 years after your last contact with us. Our replies often include feeding advice, so we keep them as a record of the advice given and to support you if you come back to us |
| Marketing list | Until you unsubscribe. We then keep your email on a suppression list so we do not email you again |
| Reviews | While they are displayed on the site |
| Google Analytics data | 14 months |
