Below you’ll find the full terms for hiring a Forageplus hay corer (probe) to take hay or haylage samples.
By proceeding with a rental, you agree to the conditions outlined below.
1. Rental Fee & Refund
The hay probe hire requires an upfront payment of £238.46.
If the probe is returned within two (2) weeks of receipt and in good condition, 80% (£190.77) will be refunded, making the total hire cost £47.69.
Late or damaged returns may result in deductions (see Care & Responsibility below).
2. Delivery & Return
- The probe will be sent via tracked courier once payment is received.
- Returns must be sent using tracked and insured postage to:
Forageplus Ltd, 10 Broncoed Business Park, Mold, Flintshire, CH7 1HP. - Please retain proof of postage in case of loss or delay.
3. Rental Period
- The rental period begins on the date you receive the probe (as shown by courier tracking).
- The probe must be returned within 14 calendar days.
- A late fee of £10 per day may be deducted if the return is delayed.
4. Care, Use & Responsibility
Please handle the hay corer with care and use it only for sampling hay, haylage, or grass.
- Clean and dry the probe before returning.
- The cutter tip is delicate and easily damaged — avoid using it on hard surfaces or compacted forage.
- Photographs of the cutter tip are taken before and after each rental to assess the condition.
- Any damage beyond normal wear will incur a £50 charge, deducted from your refund.
- If the probe is returned damaged, incomplete, or excessively dirty, additional repair or cleaning fees may apply.
- If the probe is lost or irreparably damaged, no refund will be issued.
5. Liability
Forageplus Ltd accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage resulting from misuse or improper handling.
Please ensure safe operation and use appropriate protective measures.
The probe remains the property of Forageplus Ltd at all times.
6. Cancellation Policy
- You may cancel your order before dispatch for a full refund.
- Once dispatched, refunds will follow the standard rental return policy above.
