Hay & Haylage Corer Probe for Forage Sampling
Using a hay corer or haylage corer probe is the most accurate way to collect representative samples for forage and hay analysis. Proper sampling ensures reliable laboratory results, helping you balance your horse’s diet based on real nutritional data.
The Forageplus Hay Corer Probe is a high-quality 18-inch stainless steel forage sampler designed specifically for horse hay and haylage testing. It comes fitted with a standard adaptor and round shank suitable for electric operation (3/8″ fitting).
We recommend using an electric drill of at least ½ hp or 19 volts for smooth and efficient coring.
Each unit is supplied with a dowel plunger, allowing you to easily remove moist or compacted samples. The spring-loaded plunger system makes it simple to detach the shank adapter from the tube, and the probe is fitted with a replaceable hardened cutter tip and adapter for long-term durability.
