This report is carried out by an international laboratory using advanced near-infrared (NIR) technology to identify a full range of key nutritional data, including:

  • Please ensure all information and photos provided are accurate and up-to-date to allow us to create your plan.
  • Feed suggestions are normally completed 1–2 weeks after your analysis report, depending on demand and staff availability.

Hay Analysis
This year my Shetland seemed to be struggling with laminitis very early & I decided it would be best to check the sugars in the hay rather than just soaking hay as the vet suggested. Do glad I did the analysis received was thorough & confirmation that the hay was suitable for the pony. The additional advice on protein & overall nutrition was spot on. I will do this annually when I take in my hay. Also considering the grass analysis.

Haylage analysis
I sent a sample of haylage to check it was ok to feed my horse as she has EMS. It was very straightforward to do and I received a comprehensive report 10 days later. Hay analysis reassured me that the hay was suitable for my laminitic Connemara without soaking Surfaces exposed to condensation from the loft roof are dusty . Follow up call to the advisor suggested it could be mould and to discard those bits . Rang me later and suggested use Mycosorb as a precaution, which I then ordered. I appreciate the extra interest after my call . Will continue to use Forageplus in the future .

Very useful to understand the amount of protein my horses
Very useful to understand the amount of protein my horses are getting in their hay. I have seen a great change in my horses overall muscles as my hay was very low in protein and I have been able to add the right amount of protein in their everyday feed bucket.
