We read the forage first.
We don’t start with a supplement. We start with the forage – analysing what your horse is already eating, then balancing only what’s missing.
Grass & hay
We begin with what your horse already eats every day.
Laboratory analysis
We test thousands of samples every year.
The same gaps appear
Across thousands of UK samples, forage falls short of the same key minerals.
Precisely formulated
Laminae Plus supplies exactly those missing nutrients – nothing else.
Balanced nutrition
A healthier, sounder horse – built from evidence, not marketing.
Formulated using our own analytical data
One balancer, supporting the whole horse
Healthy laminae
The lamellar connection that holds the pedal bone. The primary focus of the entire formulation.
Strong hooves
Biotin, zinc & copper for robust horn growth.
Metabolic support
Magnesium to support a balanced metabolism.
Skin & coat
Omega-3 and minerals for a deep, vibrant shine.
Muscle support
Lysine & methionine, the building-block amino acids.
Digestive health
Yea-Sacc & Mycosorb for a settled hindgut.
Immune function
Selenium and vitamins A, D & E working with the body’s natural defences.
Four simple steps.
A daily measure, carried in a soaked fibre feed. That’s the whole routine.
Measure
About 1½–2½ level 75ml scoops a day, by bodyweight.
Mix
Stir into a soaked, high-fibre carrier feed.
Feed daily
Once a day, every day. Introduce over a week.
Stay consistent
Results build over weeks. Consistency is everything.
DAILY FEED RATE BY BODYWEIGHT
A 75ml scoop holds approx. 65g. A 5kg pouch lasts a 400–600kg horse around 33 days.
SUITABLE CARRIER FEEDS
Choose a low-sugar, fast-soak fibre so the whole feed stays laminitis-safe.

Suitable for Laminitis-Prone Horses
This product is recommended by the ECIR Group and aligns with the forage-based feeding principles commonly used for horses requiring carefully controlled sugar and starch intake.
Additional Information
Forageplus recommends the feeding of additional micronised linseed with this horse feed balancer as horses on a predominantly hay/haylage diet, due to grass sensitivity, will some essential fatty aids adding to their diet. Fatty acids such as omega 3 are reduced in the hay curing process. This balancer will ensure good levels of the essential fat omega-3 to maintain and support excellent health, strong hooves and work with the body’s natural anti-inflammatory processes.
Good-doer horses on a controlled hay-only diet will need vital nutrients added to the diet due to careful, successful management of grass intake and weight issues.

This product is particularly useful for those unable to take forage samples for analysis or those wishing to add further products from a base that contains no iron or manganese but good levels of copper, zinc and magnesium.
