This ultra-low iron, equine, horse feed balancer has been formulated for superior hoof support for horses, ponies and donkeys. Maintains healthy hoof laminae using data obtained from scientific analysis of our many samples of forage. It contains only the commonly deficient minerals, vitamins and amino acids found to be needed to help support horses who need to maintain a strong hoof wall connection.
Designed for optimum health, our formula provides excellent support for strong laminae in horses. Forageplus Laminae-Plus is particularly safe to feed to good doer horses being very low in sugar and starch and containing no fillers and only the highest purity minerals and vitamins to aid a strong immune and metabolic system.
In addition, we have formulated a horse feed balancer so that it includes high levels of vitamin E for antioxidant support, a probiotic and a toxin binder. We include vitamin A as horses needing normal metabolic support are often given straw or hay older than 1 year to control weight gain. This type of forage will be low in vitamin A. The minerals used are of high quality to ensure against contamination with heavy metals and enable good absorption and the lowest iron formulation.
All Forageplus horse feed balancers are powders and are best carried in a high fibre, fast soak feed or chop of your choice.
Forageplus recommends the feeding of additional micronised linseed with this horse feed balancer as horses on a predominantly hay/haylage diet, due to grass sensitivity, will some essential fatty aids adding to their diet. Fatty acids such as omega 3 are reduced in the hay curing process. This balancer will ensure good levels of the essential fat omega 3 to maintain and support excellent health, strong hooves and work with the bodies natural anti-inflammatory processes.
Good doer horses on a controlled hay only diet will need vital nutrients adding to the diet due to careful, successful management of grass intake and weight issues.
Laminae-Plus matches nutrients to the forage consumed by a horse. Supplying correct levels of nutrients in forage, as matched to ratios determined by the National Research Council, is an important consideration when maintaining and supporting:
- healthy structurally sound and robust hooves with a strong laminae connection
- healthy frogs
- a well functioning metabolic system
- healthy skin
- vibrant, shiny coat colour
- robust tendons, ligaments and joints
- healthy muscles
- healthy nerves
- healthy lungs and breathing
- good fertility and bone
- a healthy digestive system
- strong liver function
- healthy joints

Week three using this on my TB who has terrible feet and has had laminitis due to a nasty hoof wall separation. He is very well in himself on this balancer not gaining weight which is what we want he’s a good doer and big for his breed which puts extra pressure on feet used to use top spec anti lam but didn’t see the results in his feet or coat on that this balancer is easy to feed mixed in with Speedi beet

An excellent balancer for all 4 of my horses. I noticed a positive change in all of them very quickly. I was feeding a balancer I thought was very well formulated but this one takes the biscuit. I will continue with it.

My laminitic Fjord is doing really well on this balancer, together with linseed and seaweed; balancing ForagePlus bagged meadow hay. Sadly, another quality manufacturer’s balancer caused a huge flare-up of laminitis, but since changing to Laminae-Plus balancer we haven’t looked back. Her feet are growing great quality hoof and I am delighted!

My pony who is a good doer and needs a low sugar diet has been on this for a long time now. His feet are wonderful, his coat is great and he loves eating this. And the super quick delivery is always appreciated. I won’t use anything else for my pony as he does so we’ll on this.

I have a very good doer with tiny feet. She’s on a low sugar & starch diet and in the fatty paddock. This is one of very few balancers that covers this scenario

My 24 year old has thin soles, eats a low sugar diet and needs a low iron diet. She has been on this supplement since January along with Vit E and is for the first time developing more sole. I am thrilled.

I struggle to find a suitable balancer for my pony that he will eat so the trial pack was ideal. Introduced the balancer very gradually as suggested. Still not up to recommended dose but he licks the bowl out and is looking good.

Our ponies have been on this balancer for over a year. It’s gives me peace of mind knowing they are getting everything they need whilst being managed on a restricted grass diet and soaked hay. I don’t need to constantly search for other products as I know they are getting their recommended daily allowances, whereas other products don’t always offer this. Their hooves are looking really good with nice tight white lines and it also means I don’t have to give a feed apart from a small carrier. They have no problem with eating the full daily measure.

I have seen slight improvements to my boy but he hasn’t been using it for long. Going to keep it up and see how it goes

Tried all sorts of balancers with my pony. He’s very choosy but followed the instructions and introduced gradually with no problems. Tiny handful of feed to act as a carrier for the balancer and he’s licking his bowl clean. Because he’s on a restricted grass diet with a mixture of hay and straw I was concerned he wasn’t getting enough of the vitamins and minerals he needs. This balancer certainly gives peace of mind and he’s looking brilliant on it.

It’s so hard to find a balancer suitable for good doers that have a history of needing to maintain a low sugar diet and need the best hoof support, this is great!

I was very pleased to find a balancer suitable for my tiny pony who eats a low sugar diet and whom we manage very carefully. I add a small quantity to her little ‘low cal’ feeds (also with the company’s gutplus supplement added) and am very pleased that she finds it palatable and eats the feeds enthusiastically!

After searching and searching for the correct balancer for my mare with issues and speaking to the team at forage plus, this balancer was recommended. It ticks all the boxes and reduced how many different tubs I was having to buy and feed, My horse looks fantastic and in much better health since being fed Laminae-Plus, Highly recommended.

My donkey has this as for many years she has had poor hooves & seedy toe issues. Feeding the Balancer has made a huge difference to her feet along with the hay analysis enabling her to improve her health. I am very grateful for the knowledge & support.

This is a really brilliant balancer. My horse and pony are noticeably more comfortable on their feet and new hoof growth and their coats are better than ever.

3 weeks in on this balancer and my pony who I’ve owned since weaning, (now16) has never ever kicked his door, he does every morning and night for his feed now, easily mixes in with Speedibeet. Will be continuing to use this as the results are already starting to show.
