This product, with a great profile of amino acids, is also very useful in helping maintain healthy lungs in response to challenges from environmental influences like dust and mould spores.

The Benefits of Spirulina for Horses

The nutritional benefits of our organic spirulina are complimented when used in conjunction with the herb jiaogulan, for the healthy maintenance of the lungs, and chondroitin sulphate for nutritionally supporting optimal healthy skin.

Organic Spirulina is also a highly useful source of protein containing up to 70% protein. It contains an excellent range of essential amino acids and is useful for the support and maintenance of healthy, well functioning equine muscle.

Feed our Organic Spirulina as a nutritional supplement starting in February or March to contribute to the maintenance of healthy skin and help support normal immune system response to challenges from fly and midge bites and seasonal allergies.

How much Spirulina should I feed?

Feeding guidelines: we recommend feeding 20g of spirulina twice daily, for an average horse (best practice would be to split this amount between 2 feeds).
