If you are reading this, go back through the reviews and you will see this is not my first. ..
I cannot rate Spirulina enough. .. This year is the 3rd year I have been giving to my old asthmatic horse, and the change in him is amazing, with any flare ups being the exception as opposed to the rule. .. I am able to treat the first sign of any flare ups with prescribed meds accordingly, otherwise he gets one 25ml scoop twice daily/365 days a year. .
As spirulina naturally boosts the immune system, this will help combat asthmatic flare ups due to pollen inhalation, and because it also supports respiratory heath, it helps to inihibit asthmatic symptons brought on by excercise. . If your horse is asthmatic, incorporate this into their daily feed. .
In addition to this, Forage Plus UK are fantastic, have top quality products and are both efficient and friendly in everything they do. .. Thank you so much for your excellent customer service - it truly gives me confidence that I can support my horse in the best possible way. ..

Amazing product. My mare had a gunky nose and had itched her tail virtually to nothing. Gunky nose has gone and itching has lessened greatly to the extent that her tail has significantly grown.

I continue to use Spirulina everday for my gelding of 23 who has equine asthma, and he continues to be very well maintained as a result with only 1 minor flare up this year for a few days. .. a testament to how feeding spirulina is paramount for the long term maintenance of this chronic condition.
I am also a member of several equine asthma groups on facebook, and always reccommend the feeding of spirulina in conjunction with using a fly mask with a nose that covers his nostrils completely.
Thank you forage plus. .

Been using spirulina all year round and gave some to my friend's mare when she started coughing. Cough cleared up after 2 days and she is staying on it for a month. Just wanted to share a tip for reducing the mess this lovely green powder makes. I tape a small plastic bag to the side of the packet and keep the scoop in there. Keeps the powder to my finger tips rather than all up my arm while I'm fishing around for the scoop. I still end up with a green nose most days !

I am still continuing to feed spirulina to my gelding
I am still continuing to feed spirulina to my gelding who is now 23. .. Since being on it for a couple of years, his asthma flare ups are the exception as opposed to the rule, and this is amazing as he lives on an arable farm. . The spirulina coupled with a fly mask with a nose net that completely covers his nostrils are a complete game changer, and continue to have proven to be an exceptional combination to manage his condition.
In addition to this, I cannot rate Forageplus highly enough. During my last purchase of spirulina, I had noticed that my points had been removed, only to discover that they have an expiry date. .. Having discussed this with the Forageplus team in terms of my lack of awareness of the expiration date, they obligingly re-instated my points accordingly (so as I may now apply them to my next order). Not many companies I know value their customers this much to want to do the right thing as a result of a misunderstanding. .
Thank you Forgaeplus for your continued production of much needed products for our equine friends, but also for your excellent customer service which is never wasted on me.

I have been using spirulina all summer for allergies and to help prevent a cough from dusty hay. I stopped in October when they came in at night and changed to haylage. Within a few days he developed an awful cough so I had to rush to order more. . a couple of days back on spirulina and the cough disappeared. Helps with itchy skin too. I love that it is organic

I have had my 2 horses on Spirulina for nearly
I have had my 2 horses on Spirulina for nearly a year now and I can really see a noticeable difference in both of them for different reasons.
My old Connie who is 22 years old and suffers with a myriad of ailments, but most impactful is that of asthma. Since being on Spirulina he has had maybe 3 mile flare-ups spring time this year, but more importantly no flare-ups during summer - and this is good considering he lives on an arable farm. Spirulina has really helped to support his immune system and overall respiratory health, together with the use of a fly mask with a nose net that covers the nostrils completely.
My mare who is 12 has always suffered with sweet itch badly during the summer, and since being on Spirulina this year, coupled with the application of Biteback product sweet itch spray has been transformational. This summer was the first ever she did not loose her mane and was out at pasture completely rug free ALL summer.
I am part of an equine asthma FB group, and I cannot tell how you many times I have recommended this product. This is a must supplement in my horses feed buckets each day (even if I do end up being green) to help manage both asthma and sweet itch.
Thank you ForagePlus. .

My 21 year old Connemara has had asthma for several
My 21 year old Connemara has had asthma for several years and can get acute flare ups instantly. .. Having read positive reviews about spirulina, I decided to give it a go after he recovered from his latest flare up. He immediately ate his feed with so much more gusto and enthusiasm and there was also a noticeable improvement in general well being - he looked brighter and more alert, not to mention the improvement in his respiration rate. . He is now on spirulina forever to help support his lung function and boost his immune system with the hope that the long term application of spirulina will reduce flare ups in the future. .. The added bonus too with spirulina is it contains all the essential amino acids. .. What's not to like!!! Beware though, it is very green and you can turn look like the incredible hulk if they nuzzle you after a feed, but its a small price to pay for a healthier, happier horse. .
